Further discussion was held on moving the annual half marathon and 10km race from Keezletown to Grottoes. Mike Betts has suggested a route in the northern quarter of Grottoes that does not intersect itself, does not cross any major roads, and starts and ends at Mountain View Park. Mike Betts says that F & M Bank and Bluestone Bike and Run in Grottoes want to sponsor the race. Mike Betts is also a member of the Grottoes Ruritan Club, and will obtain the help of the Fire Department, and the cooperation of Ava Care in Harrisonburg. Mike Betts now works for Ava Care. Those present at the SVTC meeting tacitly approved of this idea.
Jeff Campbell and Mike Guinn will seek further information on SVTC singlets from Moxie and GTM sports. Leslie and Jeff do not like the color orange. Leslie does not want unisex singlets.
