FCCLA MEETING

All FCCLA members will meet during homeroom Tuesday in the band room.

SIBLING YEARBOOK PHOTOS

Sibling pictures will be taken Tuesday morning for the 2015 yearbook. The following people need to get their pictures taken in the library during homeroom: Teah and Wyatt Benson, Hailey, Hannah and Frankie Foran, Natalie and Aubrey Glennon, Cameron, Christian and Jordan Somers, Mitchell and Zach Thompson, Karl and Josh Watzlawick, Will and Elaina Wittmer, Clayton and Cody Berbaum, Jaylen and Caressa Dillow, Adam and Conrad Gillespie, Haley and Cassie Hicks, JR, Thays and Abby, Julia and Trevor Norris, Julianna Ard and Vance Zettler, Austen and Lizzie Brown, Shelby and Trey Sexton, Isabelle Boe and Wes Palmer, Chandler and Lindy Thompson. If you are unable to have your picture taken during homeroom Tuesday, see Ms. McKibben. Anyone not photographed by Friday will not appear on this yearbook page.

MATH CLUB MEETING – NOTE DATE CHANGE

There will be a math club meeting and sign-up Wednesday during homeroom in Dr. Lewis' room for new and continuing members. We will be talking about desired activities and interests of our members for this year. We also need to schedule members for our two concession stand dates to help cover the cost of our activities this semester, like the trip to the U of I Engineering Open House!

MIDTERMS

Midterms will be due in both offices by theend of day Wednesday.

DETENTIONS

High School detentions will be in Dr. Lewis' classroom Wednesday from 3:20-3:50 p.m.

3rd-8th grade detentions will be in Mrs. B. Taylor's classroomWednesday from 3:20-3:50 p.m.

COLLEGE FAIRS

If you would like to attend a college fair to check out various colleges and speak to a representative, you might consider attending these fairs.

Wednesday, September 17 - Parkland College Gym from 6:00 - 8:00.

Thursday, October 2 - Mt. Zion High School Gym from 6:00 - 7:30.

Free Virtual College Fair from September 15-20. Log in to register at collegefairsonline.com and then log in any time during the week.

These fairs are posted outside the guidance room on the bulletin board, or come in and ask for more information from Mr. LeFever or Miss Sharp.

BEMENT AGAINST DRUGS (B.A.D.)

The Bement Against Drugs organization is holding a logo contest. The rules are: must be no larger than 3x5 andmust either say Bement Against Drugs or B.A.D. on it somewhere. Any 6-12 students that would like to make a design must turn it in to Mr. Kepley by Friday, September 26. DO NOT put your name on it.

HOMECOMING DANCE GUESTS

Any high school student who is planning on attending the homecoming dance with a guest from another school must pick up a guest permission form from Mrs. Craney and complete the form by Monday, September 29. Guests may not attend the dance if the form is not completed prior to the event.

HIGH SCHOOL DENTAL CLINIC

There will be a dental clinic for all high schoolstudents October 22 and October 24. The form to be completed will be on the Bement website.

Please complete form and return it to the high school office by Friday, October 17.

COLLEGE/MILITARY REP VISITATION PROCEDURES AND VISITATION DATES

Juniors and seniors who are interested in attending a meeting with a college or military representative must do the following: get a permission slip from the guidance office, have your teacher sign the permission slip, return the permission slip to the guidance office the day before the representative’s

visit.

Teachers: Please be sure to announce to students that permission slips MUST be in the day before the rep's visit. Students who come in the day of the visit will be turned away.
