REGULAR Meeting…………February 19, 2009

Recognized art work of Breydan Tilley, a third grade student at PortsmouthElementary School, and his art teacher, Jill Kolar.
Recognized the following students who led the “Pledge of Allegiance”: Matthew Campbell; Lauren Donges; Jasmine Eley; Morgan Grashel; Maddi Green; Aiden Kammler; Bryson Morrow; Alex Musser; Nicholas Redden; Abby Riley; and Savanna Spence.
Recognized the following students for their successes in the Scioto County Science Fair: Sarah Raies; Evan Sommer; Ali Miller; and Hannah Simmons.
Recognized the following PortsmouthHigh School students for winning the Scioto County Mock Trial Competition and advancing to regional competition: Ali Carroll; April Clark; Bethany Kinney; Kaitlin Livingston; Eli Sanford; Brittney Scholl; Andrea White; and Jori Williams.

Approved a change in status for the following individual: Heather Johnson (School Nurse – 26% General Fund / 24% Title IV / 50% PBA to School Nurse – 10% General Fund / 40% Title IV / 50% PBA)
Approved supplemental contracts for the following individuals: Chuck Burke(Head boys track coach at PHS); Chris Cole(Boys tennis coach at PHS); Amy Keating (Assistant girls track coach at PHS); Arthur Lard (Head girls track coach at PHS); Fred Myers (Assistant baseball coach at PHS); Randy Nelson (Assistant baseball coach at PHS); Doug Poage(Head baseball coach at PHS); Jani Sturgell (Head girls track coach at PJHS); and Buck Whitely (Head boys track coach at PJHS).
Employed Sandra Lattimore as a tutor.

Approved a change in status for the following employees: Lisa Gifford (Receptionist/Secretary – Probationary Status to Receptionist/Secretary – Regular Status) and Rita Rollins (Nighttime Custodian I – Probationary Status to Nighttime Custodian I – Regular Status).
Employed the following individual as a non-teacher coach: Charles Stanley (Assistant softball coach at PHS).

SUPERINTENDENT RECOMMENDATIONS

None

Approved Fred Brisker & Associates as an approved investment firm to solicit or provide plan participants with investment services regarding their Midland National Life Annuity Products.
Approved a resolution to join Metropolitan Education Council to receive benefits of membership and cooperative purchasing.

Approved monthly donations totaling $1,110.00.
Approved the following routine financial reports and recommendations: Interim Revenues; January 2009 Management/Financial Data; Summary of January 2009 Bills; and Budgets.
