Job description - Social media and website volunteer

Are you passionate about social media? Would you like to get involved in developing an online presence for a small charity?This role is a great opportunity for you to work as an integral part of a small team and get us online!

We are looking for someone who isreliable, creative andtakes initiative to use their own ideas. Ideally we are looking for a person that matches the following criteria:

Know his/her way around social media platforms.

Has an interest in digital marketing.

Interest in website design, social media and technology.

Excellent communication and writing skills in English.

Knows what SEO and PPC means.

Primary Responsibilities:

Producesocial media content for Facebook.

Set up new social media pages (Twitter, LinkedIn).

Participate and initiate online conversations in relative groups and blogs to build community engagement.

Manage social media reach, presence and engagement across CPF platforms.

Ensure social media aligns with the overall CPF objectives.

Effectively monitor & report social media results.

General Requirements

Interest in early years development work and making a difference to children’s lives and life chances.

A proactive outlook and willingness to take the initiative and suggest improvements to current work practices.

Willing to work in a growing team of creative and driven volunteers.

Person Specifications Knowledge/ Qualifications:

Has access to a laptop.

Experience in using social media for business and promotional purposes.

Experience using web design programmes e.g. squarespace.

Be educated to A-Level or equivalent, ideally be working towards a qualification relevant to the position.

Skills and Abilities:

 Trustworthy, network builder and people person.

 Good research, marketing, communication, PR skills.

 Experience building connections with people online and offline.

 Efficient and effective decision making.

 Excellent communication and writing skills.

 Sense of responsibility and attention to detail.

 Self-discipline and self-management skills.
