COL Arnold, CSM McCoy, LTC Lawson, LTC Baker, LTC Menhart, CSM Moser, Special Guests and Friends of Bravo Company and the Wolverine Battalion. Thank you so much for attending today’s Change of Command Ceremony.

Today is a bittersweet moment for the Wolverine Family. It’s bitter because we have to bid farewell to a great company commander, CPT Ryan Waters. Ryan assumed command after returning from Iraq with the“Rangers” of the 2-16 Infantry Battalion in April 2008. Since his assumption of command he has proudly led this formation through RESET, Collective Training, a successful NTC Rotation, and deployment to Iraq. Ryan and B Co have done an outstanding job providing exceptional intelligence support 24/7 throughout 4th Brigade battlespace.

Today is sweet because although Ryan is leaving command he is not going very far, really just changing buildings/office space. He will assume duties as the Assistant Brigade Intelligence Officer and still be a part of the Wolverine Battalion as a member of Headquarters and Headquarters Company Brigade.

Ryan, you’ve done an outstanding job. You accomplished everything we asked of you and more. You have set the example in the areas of technical and tactical competence and moral character. Although, Sabrina can’t be here today, I ask that you will pass along the gratitude that Alicia and I have for her dedication, patience, and support of you and the Barracudas. We look forward to continuing to work with her in HHC Bde.

We welcome CPT Ashley Oliver to company command. Ashley is definitely no stranger to the Wolverine Family as she has distinguished herself while serving on my staff as the Battalion Intelligence Officer. Ashley has also served as the 4th Brigade Collections Manager and she was the 1st Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Platoon Leader at Fort Riley, KS. I have full confidence that she will excel. I know the Barracudas will be in good hands. Ashley, welcome to command and the privilege of caring for these great soldiers.

In closing, Barracudas, you look great today and you represent the finest of the Military Intelligence Corps. Let’s give them a round of applause.

Bravo Company, stay on task. Our mission awaits us. Ryan – Take Care…it’s been an honor to serve with you. Ashley, welcome to command. Hooah!
