A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MS. SHARON GRICE UPON HER RETIREMENT FROM THE CLEMSON EXTENSION SERVICE FOR THIRTY-THREE YEARS OF SERVICE, AND TO WISH HER WELL IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, Ms. Sharon Grice, a Senior Extension Agent with the Clemson Extension Service in Mullins, South Carolina, will soon retire after more than thirty-three years of faithful service; and

Whereas, born in 1957 in Chester, Pennsylvania, she graduated high school from Rains Centenary High School in Rains, South Carolina and from South Carolina State College in Orangeburg, South Carolina in 1979; and

Whereas, Sharon is also a Youth Development Agent with the Clemson Cooperative Extension in the Myrtle Beach area and provides expertise in topics including animal agriculture and veterinary science, natural resources and the environment, gardening, leadership and citizenship, personal growth and development, and science, engineering, and technology; and

Whereas, she is active in her community as Chairman of the Fox Trot Festival in Marion, member of St. James A.M.E. Church in Marion, and as a member of the Zeta Phi Beta sorority; and

Whereas, in her spare time she enjoys volunteering with the elderly and the children in her church community and she also enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, decorating, and crafting; and

Whereas, always treating others with kindness and respect, Sharon will be remembered with affection and gratitude by colleagues and friends at a retirement celebration to be held in her honor at the Marion County Technical Education Center in Mullins, South Carolina on Saturday, June 23; and

Whereas, the South Carolina Senate is grateful for the many years of dedicated service of Sharon Grice and wish her many years of enjoyment in her well-deserved retirement. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Sharon Grice upon her retirement from the Clemson Extension Service for thirty-dthree years of service, and wish her well in all her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Sharon Grice.
