Citibank Has Cancelled Early Loan Repayment Fee

Beginning by April 1, Citibank has cancelled the early repayment fee on its Personal Installment Loan. Canceling the fee is in line with Citibank‘s strategy to continuously increase the quality of products and services for customers.

„Our aim is to provide our clients with the highest quality services, services that meet their needs and requirements in full and that are in their true interest. In our view, charging a fee for early repayment of a loan is not in the client’s, but, rather, in the bank`s interest. Therefore we have decided to stop charging this fee,“ said Bert Pijls, Head of Citibank Retail Banking Division.

Available from Citibank are consumer loans from CZK 20,000 to CZK 600,000 payable from 6 to 60 months, with the rate of interest starting from 8.9% p.a. Customers do not need a guarantor for the loan, nor is there any requirement imposed on the purpose of the loan or the need to have one‘s current account opened with Citibank.

In addition to the loan is insurance against one’s inability to repay because of death, permanent disability or sickness in excess of 30 days.
