elcome to the Spring edition of the [insert your name here] family newsletter. Start typing an introductory paragraph here. The title of the newsletter was created by using the WordArt function on the Drawing toolbar. To create the dropped W, highlight the letter, go to Format > Drop Cap and select the position. Single column tables were used to create the headers. Simply click in the boxes to replace our text. Use the Tables and Borders toolbar to add colour and borders to the boxes.

Three columns of text are easy to read and keep sentences short and to the point.
To create a column, go to Format > Columns and select how many columns you want in the text and their length.
To insert photos, go to Insert > Picture > From File or insert Clip Art by going to Insert > Picture > Clip Art.

Use View > Toolbars > Picture to crop your photos to fit the page or Picture It! to make minor adjustments. Caption: The four of us at Daytona Beach
To insert your own text, hit the Insert key on the keyboard to type over these words.
Use the Delete key to get rid of extraneous text. You may need to hit Shift + Return to maintain the columns. You’ll see the text moving around as you start to type. Extra text will run into the next column.
To change the font style, size and colour, use the Formatting toolbar found by going to View > Toolbars > Formatting.

Tip: Highlight the link you want to include and click the hyperlink icon on the toolbar.

Now you’re ready to send your newsletter. Print it out in colour on fancy paper to mail to friends and family or save the document in Word and attach it to an e-mail message.
