President’s Council

·  The college is changing its mileage reimbursement procedures. The only effect on NMC will be in the accounting process.

·  The college will reinstate blackout dates surrounding semester starts. Details to follow.

·  The NMC instructional supervisor has been added to the P&P manual as someone with authority to approve academic reinstatement.

Enrollment Services: Athena Cawley

·  Enrollment services has been restructured. John Wilson has retired and Sharon Hanks has moved to Admin Computing. Athena now reports to Judy Hood.

·  FTSE day is Wednesday, October 11.

·  The Degree Declaration form is being updated, possibly to an online form.

·  Enrollment services is reviewing all of its processes.

Instruction: John Cawley

·  The format of the course package has changed to align with other colleges across the state.

·  The due dates for course packages to be included in the new catalog are changing to March from November.

·  The spring schedule is in Jenzabar.

·  Reminder to faculty that we do have a budget for supplies for their classes.

·  There is a new process for faculty to review their FTSE rosters.

·  Reminder that if each faculty member is able to retain one additional student per class, the college will meet its goal to increase educational attainment in the county.

·  The library is hosting a spotlight on Sandra Cisneros via zoom on Friday, October 13.

·  There is a display in the library celebrating Hispanic and Latino heritage month.
