Grade 7 & 8 Only: Due to the change in when we are doing MS Drama this year this production will be rehearsed separately and students can be in both the Middle School Play AND the Festival, but we want to cast this show now. If you are interested in being a part of the Middle School Festival production of If Boys Wore the Skirts, please check Yes below. Please note that this piece require additional rehearsal time through the beginning of May and all students in this cast must attend the Middle School Theatre Festival on Saturday, May 3, 2013. Before answering yes or no, please consult with your parents to check for conflicts on May 3. Festival participation will also incur additional cost as students will need 2 meals the day of festival (approx. $15)and will have the opportunity to purchase a festival T-shirt(Approx. $12).

This year we will be producing several short plays for the school and community on Friday, January 31, 2014. Rehearsals will begin on Monday, December 2 and students will be rehearsing on average of 2 days per week after school from 2:45- 5 during December and early January. Beginning the week of January 13 rehearsals will increase to 3 days per week. A show specific rehearsal schedule will be given out at the first rehearsal. While we try to be very flexible with students regarding rehearsal attendance, we ask that students avoid all non-emergency activities/appointments from 1/20-1/31 as we will need all students at all rehearsals during this time.
Rehearsal Attendance Policy: Students are expected to attend all assigned rehearsals. If for some reason a student must be out due to illness or emergency please contact Ms. Godwin or Mr. Tower-Hughes directly with a call or text to 978-621-0738. Students who have three (3) unexcused absences from rehearsal may be dropped from the production.
There is an annual $25 Theatre User fee that all students involved must pay. This fee must be paid prior to December 20. By paying this fee now your student will not have to pay the fee to participate in the musical or any other theatre productions during the 2013-14 school year. If this fee causes undue hardship, please speak with me as soon as possible.
Students will have the opportunity to purchase a professional make-up kit for $20 that includes shipping. This kit contains actual stage makeup that will hold up under the intense stage lighting and should last most students at least three years.
