An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Personal Support Unit, a highly respected, friendly and energetic charity providing practical and emotional support to people facing court hearings without lawyers. Most of those litigants are frightened of, and unfamiliar with, the courts and are in danger of losing their homes, children or livelihoods. The number of agencies available to support them is shrinking fast and so demand for our services is rising month by month. We’re passionate about our vision of a PSU in every civil and family court in England and Wales, so that we can help make sure that people on their own without lawyers get the help and support they need.

Individual and major donor fundraising is a developing area of income at the PSU. This role will include developing compelling fundraising materials and cultivating relationships with current and potential supporters. We have been investing in growing our supporter base over the last year, successfully setting up a volunteer fundraising board and Friends’ event committee as well as cultivating our existing supporter base.
