We invite you to join us this year at Wildacres Retreat, a wonderful facility in the North Carolina mountains. Add to your skills in a relaxing and educational workshop. For those of you new to FSG, this workshop is organized by the West Coast Chapter, offering instruction by some of the best artists in the country. This application must be printed and mailed in according to the instructions. Registration is open to all adults.
APPLICATIONS POSTMARKED PRIOR TO April 11, 2014 WILL BE RETURNED
Applications should be mailed first class and postmarked on or after April 11, 2014
Email notification will be sent to all applicants indicating class assignments. Applications
received after the opening date will be assigned on a space available basis.
Please make sure you indicate a second and third choice on the application.
No applications will be accepted after May 17th.

Purpose: Wildacres Retreat is dedicated to the enhancement of communication in the arts, sciences, music, and literature. It is located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Little Switzerland, North Carolina.
Accessibility: Wildacres Retreat is best reached by car. Asheville, N.C. is the closest airport with regular airline service. Rental cars, taxi and car services are available. The airport is about 30 miles west of Wildacres. The retreat is in a rather remote area. It is unlikely you would need to leave during the week as most amenities are provided.
Transportation:If you are interested in carpooling with another student who lives in your area, please contact April Godfrey at
If you are flying into the Asheville Airport, transportation is available to Wildacres Retreat by taxi or car service. Rental cars are also available. Phone numbers for services will be included with your acceptance letter.
Schedule: Check-in at the Wildacres Retreat office is between 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 14th. The first meal will be served in the dining hall at 6:30 p.m. The session will conclude with breakfast on Friday, June 20th.

Registration Fees: The basic fee is $700.00 per person for FSG members. Non-members fee is $750.00, which includes membership in FSG. If you are not a current member please remit one check for $750.00 which will include your membership. Fees include tuition, lodging, meals, gratuities, and a group photo. The full amount is payable with your application. Please make your own transportation arrangements. Make all checks payable to: West Coast Florida Society of Goldsmiths. (WCFSG)

Supplies and Equipment: A list of supplies and tools needed for your class will be sent after your application has been processed. Students should bring basic hand tools. Some tools and equipment will be supplied by WCFSG and/or Wildacres.

Cancellations: If a cancellation is made on or before May 23, 2014, a $100.00 service fee will be charged. No exceptions. The balance of your registration fee will be refunded after the workshop conclusion. There will be no cancellations accepted, or refunds after May 23, 2014. There will be no refund for “No Shows”.
Room Assignments: The lodging facilities are very comfortable with a private bath in each room. All rooms are doubleoccupancy. If you do not select a preference, a roommate will be selected for you.
After classes are assigned, you will be notified by e-mail. Packets with travel information, directions, tool and supply lists, and other pertinent information will be included. Please check your spam filter if you have not received your email notification by the second week in May. Please keep a copy of this flyer for your reference.

You may take only ONE workshop. When filling out the application form, please indicate your first, second and third choices. Applicants who cannot be placed in their first choice will be placed in their second or third choice. All applications received are held 7 business days from the post date. Those with the April 11th post date will be selected, at random, for the first choice of classes with current FSG members having priority over non-members. All others will be on a first come/first serve basis. A “wait list” is created when only one class is requested. It is advisable to select more than one class to be sure to enjoy the Wildacres experience. Applications will not be accepted after May 17.

RELEASE
As part of the consideration, in addition to the registration fee paid to Florida Society of Goldsmiths for giving the course for which I have registered, I hereby release the Florida Society of Goldsmiths Board of Directors, its members, as well as any person or entity on whose property such course may be given, from any liability for personal injury or property damage that I may sustain due to negligence, or otherwise, in connection with any such course, whether by ingress or egress, attendance or otherwise.
