•Description: The project is a part of a Third Party re-engineering project that will result in changes to existing system as well as payment and billing business processes. The Project involves development of a Third Party Work Queue Management system that would prioritize and channel work to appropriate associates and help document and store miscellaneous comments regarding research findings, actions taken and contacts made. The system will also provide data correction facilities and necessary interfaces to the existing Third Party Payment Processing system for possible reprocessing.

•The application will also provide for effective capturing and display of the statistical data of an associate's productivity and performance in terms of actions taken, effectiveness of that action and the time invested by that associate. A process to monitor system performance and productivity with respect to the business as whole will be provided.

•To achieve this, the ASP.NET web forms were designed using VB.NET as code behind language. For developing components / assemblies, visual C#. NET was used. For analyzing and designing the system MS Visio 2000 was used. Cobol stored procedures and SQL stored Procedures were written. There are no changes done on these tables to ensure minimal changes to the existing system used by Rite Aid for other systems, which they still run on IBM Mainframe and DB2. Developed the Data Access component to access database for the system.

The application is written in COBOL 74 using the DMSII database. The entire application is functionally organized under the following modules: - Accounting and Budget Planning, Records and Registration, Admissions, Financial Aids, Human Resources, Copy Center, Health Center, Student Activities, Continuing Education, Residence Life and Telephone Services. The current system is to migrate to a Web based environment.

•To achieve this, analyzing and designing the system MS Visio 2000 was used and the Cobol 74 programs are converted to MF COBOL. Subsequently Cobol objects are created using Net Express and wrapped in Assemblies/COM+ components and deployed on an IIS. The DMSII database is converted to an Oracle 9i database. The existing datasets are simply converted one to one into tables in the Oracle database. There is no normalization done on these tables to ensure minimal changes to the COBOL programs. Front end is developed using ASP.NET with VB.NET & Visual C#. NET.
