Product Innovation: Hybrid relay module for medium to high loads. Part no. 730830
Two at one fell swoop.
Relay and solid-state switch in one module.
In the new hybrid relay module HYS-0830, interface specialist Friedrich Lütze, Weinstadt combines the advantages of an electronic switch and a mechanical relay.
The new LÜTZE Hybrid Relay HYS-830 offers the customer the benefit of load-free switching of medium to high loads, even with a high inductive or capacitive content. Even at a maximum switching capacity of 4,000 VA no additional cooling is required. Contact bounce, sparking and switching noise do not occur. This results in fewer EMC problems and a longer service life for the components. The integrated control electronics offer additional functions such as inrush current control, time-delayed closing, as well as a centralised fault indication. A green LED on the front displays the various modes. The LÜTZE Hybrid Relay is ideal for use in plant and machinery construction as well as in building technology. Thanks to its compact design, the Hybrid Relay can be easily DIN-rail mounted and installed in distribution boxes.

LÜTZE Hybrid Relay module HYS-0830: the advantages of a relay and a solid-state switch combined in a single module.
Background: Hybrid relays
In the past, electromechanical relays were in practice the preferred option when it came to switching medium to heavy loads. However in operation they were noisy, caused interference and had a limited service life. In contrast, electronic solid-state switches operate free from noise or wear, although they can suffer from heat build-up as a result of large contact resistances. The LÜTZE Hybrid Relay module HYS-0830 came about as a combination of both modules, bringing together the benefits of relays and semiconductors. The new LÜTZE Hybrid Relay switches the load electronically with a solid-state switch and then subsequently, in the switched state, bridges the electronic switch load-free with a conventional relay contact
