WINDOWS

Introduction to Windows 7

You will log on to Windows 7, explore its interface, identify the different components in the interface, customize the Windows 7 desktop, manage files and folders, use the common tools and programs available in Windows 7, and browse the Internet.

Introduction to Windows 8.1

Welcome to Using Microsoft® Windows® 8. 1. Whether you’re new to computers or have used them in the past, this class will help you become more comfortable using a personal computer (PC) and, more specifically, the Windows 8.1 interface. This course will help you to define what a PC is, and familiarize you with the Windows 8 user interface and its basic capabilities. In this course, you will explore Windows 8.1 and learn how to create documents, send email, browse the Internet, and share information between applications and with other users.

WORD

Word Level 1

This class is designed for new users and self-taught users with basic Word concepts

Word Level 2

This course is for intermediate Word users. You will learn about advanced formatting and styles, how to use mail merge for improved correspondence, and how to work with Tables of Content, as well as other Word features including diagrams, charts and graphics.

Word Level 3

In Word 2010 we will cover more of the advanced functions in Word, including Advanced Styles, Text Boxes, and Macros

EXCEL

Excel Level 1

This class is designed to acquaint new users and self-taught users with basic Excel concepts. From an explanation of the interface to creating formulas and formatting worksheets, users will gain an understanding of how Excel works and how to work with Excel.

Excel Level 2

This is a course for the intermediate Excel user. In this course we look at ways to analyze data, explore more advanced formulas and turn numbers into eye-catching charts.

Excel Level 3

The features covered in this course will add greater flexibility and depth of analysis to our data. The tools in this course allow us to share our work with other users, create pivot tables to consolidate and group our data in helpful ways. Additionally, we’ll, perform “what-if” analysis of our data to evaluate data based on variables, and we’ll create macros to automate repetitive tasks.

Excel Power User

In this course, students will learn the advanced skills necessary to create business applications using various Functions and Formulas, Pivot Tables, PowerPivot and other add – in’s. Students will learn how to create advanced Pivot Tables and Charts including ways to customize calculations. Students will receive an introduction to PowerPivot including Report generation. This course will also introduce other business related Add – in’s.

Excel Level 4

In the previous Excel courses, you used Excel to simplify business tasks, including the creation of spreadsheets, graphs, charts, and formulas that were difficult to create and nearly impossible to maintain using pencil and paper. You now want to simplify your work in the Excel environment by automating many of the repetitive tasks that are part of the spreadsheet development. In this course, you will apply the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language to simplify many of the tasks that you can perform using various tools and functions in Excel.

POWERPOINT

PowerPoint Level 1

Students will learn how to create a basic presentation in this course. Students will obtain the skills to create and edit slides, and insert clip art and charts. Students will also learn how to run a slide show, insert slide transitions, and prepare printed materials for distribution.

PowerPoint Level 2

As a Microsoft® Office PowerPoint user, you are familiar with the basics of creating a presentation and you are able to convey information effectively in a simple way. Static content in presentation, however, will not keep your audience interested. In this course, you will enhance presentations with feature that will transform basic presentations into a powerful means of communication.

ACCESS

Access Level 1

Microsoft Office Access Level 1 is designed to introduce the user to the basic database design concepts and functionality. Here you will learn about relational databases and how to create a database from scratch adding multiple tables, queries, reports and forms, all of which will organize data in a way that reduces redundancy, helps to enhance a multi-user environment, and provides a simple user interface.


Access Level 2

Microsoft Office Access Level 2 is designed to help the student understand table relationships, how to set field controls, how to create multi-table queries and build expressions in the query design grid, and how to customize reports and forms.

Access Level 3

This course helps the database developer and end user go beyond the database basics by introducing Office application integration, using mail merge and the Office tools to export queries, forms and reports. You will be introduced to inner and outer join types, setting table validation, working with action queries, advanced functions and aggregate queries. Other areas covered in this course include creating and working with sub-forms and sub-reports, passing values to the main forms and reports, creating charts and creating a navigational switchboard.

VISIO

Visio: Level 1

In this course, you'll learn fundamental skills while creating several types of diagrams using Microsoft® Office Visio® Professional. You will create a directional map, a block diagram, a basic and a cross-functional flowchart, an organization chart, and an office layout. As you create these drawings, you will learn techniques to drag and manipulate Visio master shapes, create connections between shapes, and apply styles to shapes, text, and pages. You will generate an organization chart from imported data and edit custom properties to store additional information in your diagrams. You will learn shortcuts to enhance your productivity and use unique tools designed for each type of drawing. When you've completed the course, you will have a firm grasp of all of the skills needed to create any kind of diagram using Visio.

PUBLISHER

Publisher: Level 1

Get ready to create visually impressive publications, complete with graphic elements, text boxes and an eye catching layout. Students will learn how to create publications, modify the layout and structure of a publication, edit and format content, format pictures within publications and utilize the options for distributing publications.

ACROBAT

Adobe Acrobat Level 1

You may have used different applications to create documents for your own reference. However, you may now be required to share your files electronically by email, over a network, or on the web, so that recipients can view, print, and offer feedback. In this course, you will use Adobe Acrobat 9.0 to make your information more portable, accessible, and useful to meet the needs of your target audience.
