Spanky and Our Gang is back!
Spanky and Our Gang has just released their newest CD from Eclipse Recording Company, called “Back Home Americana, Volume 1.” It is their first new release in 34 years!
Saint Augustine, FL, August 10, 2009: Spanky and Our Gang are true music icons. Their many Ed Sullivan appearances are legendary. Spanky McFarlane went on to replace Cass Elliott in the Mamas and the Papas. They are back, this time to release “Back Home Americana, Volume 1.” Their newest CD recorded at Eclipse Recording Company. This Album features old favorites and new songs , as well as California Dreamin’ by the Mamas and The Papas. The members of Spanky and Our Gang include,

The crowd went wild at Tradewinds Tropical Lounge, here in St. Augustine recently as Spanky and Our Gang performed with original member, Nigel Pickering. Spanky has teamed up with Eclipse Recording Company to produce the Spanky and Our Gang official Website, and a special musical promotion where you can sign up to receive Spanky’s E-Card loaded with pictures, a message from Spanky and a free song download off of their new album. Engineer Stuart “Dinky” Dawson (one of the most important figures ever in the development of concert sound for rock bands and live recording engineer on “Brother Can You Spare a Dime”) has known Spanky McFarlane for many years and after listening to “Back Home Americana” Dinky said of the CD, “You guys did a fantastic job of letting the music breathe giving 16 bit compression to stand up and take note. This has gone beyond the molded sounds of record companies who have manipulated the engineers for years. I am sohappy you guys have the feel of the heartbeat with every note, which has given this the life rather than the essence. I'm so proud of you guys!!
