LOCAL WINS RESERVE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE

The American Quarter Horse Association, Oklahoma City– <First, Last> of <city, state> captured the reserve world championship title in <class> at the 2015 Lucas Oil American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show on <date> in Oklahoma City.

<Last> showed the American Quarter Horse <horse name>, a <year, color, sex> owned by <owner name> of <city, state>. <horse name>, sired by <stallion> and out of <mare>, was bred by <breeder> of <breeder city>, <breeder state>.

In the <class> class, <number of entries> entries competed for world champion honors and a purse of <class purse>. Reserve world champions received a prize package that included a custom-designed silver trophy, courtesy of the Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show; specially designed logoed jacket and reserve world champion patch, courtesy of Cripple Creek Outerwear; Professional’s Choice saddle pad; Montana Silversmiths buckle, sponsored by The American Quarter Horse Journal; and medallion.

The Lucas Oil World is the pinnacle event for American Quarter Horse owners and exhibitors around the world, who must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to compete in each of the classes representing halter, English and western disciplines. More than 3,280 entries from the United States, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Germany and Switzerland are competing for 99 world championships at this year’s event, November 5-21 at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.
