Eligible recipients of Section 132 funds must report an unduplicated count of adults meeting the economically disadvantaged career technical education (CTE) enrollment criteria for the period of July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017.

* Students may be counted only once even though they may have met more than one economically disadvantaged criterion and/or been enrolled in more than one CTE course/program in the 2016–17 year. All economically disadvantaged students reported above must have completed at least 20 hours of instruction in a CTE course that is at least 20 hours or more in duration.
**Other category includes adults who have an income level below the poverty level as defined by the 2016–17 Income Eligibility Guidelines for Free and Reduced-Price Meals. 1. Though independent third-party verified data is preferred, an eligible recipient may also report those adults who have been identified by self-declaration as meeting one of the economically disadvantaged criteria. An individual’s income status is the sole determining factor for reporting themselves as being economically disadvantaged.
2. Programs must maintain the roster of names for each economically disadvantaged criterion to verify that the adults reported meet the required criteria. The numbers reported must be auditable.
