Ski/Snowboard Program Frequently Asked Questions

Why Webbski?

Celebrating 51 years of ski instruction in the Seattle community, Webbski believes what they teach is as important as how they teach it and consistency is critical. They teach all ability levels for both skiing and snowboarding. Students develop technical skills in both skiing and riding ability with a positive progression from lesson to lesson. This family-based ski school’s tradition continues under the professional supervision of Jim, Judy, Mike, and Margaret Webb and their skilled team of instructors and coordinators. Webbski is a member of (PSIA) - Professional Ski Instructors of America and Pacific Northwest Ski Instructors Association, (PSIA-NW), guaranteeing the highest quality of instruction available.

What is the ratio of chaperones to kids?

We plan to have at least 3 chaperones on the bus. We have two confirmed parent chaperones and are looking for one additional parent chaperone who will receive a complimentary lift ticket on the evenings of the ski program. Please contact Olena if you are interested in being a chaperone. Additional parents are also welcome to join us if there is room on the bus. Once we arrive at the mountain, Webbski instructors will take on responsibility for the children who will be split into small groups based on ability level. The entire time they will be skiing or snowboarding on the mountain, they will be under the supervision of their instructors.

What do we do about lift tickets?

If your child signs up for the CKS ski/snowboard program by Dec. 18th, they receive the option to purchase a discounted season pass from the ski area. Otherwise, they can buy lift tickets for the nights of the program. Webbski will help us to facilitate that. More details about lift ticket prices here:

What do we do about ski or snowboard rentals?

You can rent skis or snowboard directly from Webbski at their Ski School Chalet where all lessons start. If you have your own gear or a season rental, your child can bring their skis of snowboard to school on Thursdays.

Do they bring dinner?

Yes, please pack dinner and a snack for your child, we will eat on the bus.

What about homework?

The parent chaperons will work with the kids to do homework on the long bus ride. Once that’s done, we will also have a lot of fun!
