“Where Excellence and Ethics Begin”

October 11, 2011

Dear Parents of PreK Students,

The sunny autumn mornings and slowly changing leaves remind us that October is here. Classrooms are bustling with a wide array of activities and our children are actively involved and excited about learning.

Halloween will be here soon! We would like to extend an invitation to you to join us for our Halloween Parade on Monday, October 31st. The annual Forest Avenue School Halloween Parade is scheduled for 12:30 PM.

All 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM PreK students’ parents are invited to come to school at 12:00 noon to help their children dress in their costumes and prepare for the parade. If this is not possible, teachers and aides will assist students in dressing in costume.

Once everyone is assembled, the annual Halloween Parade around the playground will begin. Please position yourself around the cones on the field behind the school to view the parade. Pictures and videos are welcome. Come in costume if you wish! Should the day be an inclement one, activities will be moved indoors, and parents will be invited to view the children in costumes in the Multi-Purpose Room and the gym beginning at 12:40 PM.

I am requesting for safety reasons that children not bring props (swords, guns, brooms, shields or live animals) to school. I appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

All PreK students in Mrs. Russoniello’s class will be in a PreK Halloween program in the MPR following the parade and parents are invited to attend. All 12:30 PM PreK parents must take their children home after the conclusion of the program.

All parents and members of the Forest Avenue School Community are cordially invited to join us for this Halloween parade. We look forward to seeing each and every one of you for what promises to be a most exciting day!

Sincerely,

Deborah Fitzpatrick Elaine Russoniello
