This event is organised by the PLVF group of local service providers working for Blind and Partially Sighted people in Peterborough It includes Action for Blind People, Deafblind UK, Disability Peterborough, Eye Clinic, Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals, Guide Dogs, Macular Society, Peterborough Association for the Blind, Peterborough City Council Adult Social Care, VI team and Children's Services, and RNIB.

Peterborough Low Vision Day Thursday 29th September 2016

This free one-day event is taking place at the halls behind Westgate Church, Westgate, Peterborough PE1 1RG from 10.30am until 3.30pm on Thursday 29th September. As previous years have been very busy in the morning you may prefer an afternoon visit.All exhibitors will stay until 3.30pm.

The event aims to help anyone connected to sight loss (individuals, friends, family, professionals, carers) to find out just what clubs, activities and support is available in the Peterborough and surrounding areas, and nationally. You can also find out about the latest products, books, magazines and newspapers.

Sighted guides on hand: There will be trained volunteer sighted guides on hand so if you are travelling alone and need some help you won't miss a thing. Other special requirements must be arranged in advance.

The PAB Café and seating area in the main hall will be open for light refreshments throughout the day.

No booking required - just turn up and explore!

See a wide range of items to help with daily life and maintain independence. Get hands-on demonstrations of the latest mobile and desktop equipment from the leading suppliers. Talk to organisers of activities and services available in Peterborough.
