Hand movement tracking을 위한 3D Input Devices
물체 자동 추적을 위한 3D Mouse
1. Electromagnetic position and orientation trackers
3BALL
Features
-A electromagnetic sensor, mounted inside, provides accurate orientation
of 3BALL in 3D space.
-3D positioning/orientation input device that incorporates your hand and
body’s natural motion in interacting with 3D images.
-3BALL can be used as a pointing device merely by extending your index
finger. You can track or trace movements, as well as your gestures.
-3BALL’S flush-mount switch allows you to grasp it with a comfortable,
natural hand position and operate the switch with just a light touch.
-A non-obstructive switch provides both tactile and audible feedback for
positive actuation and control.
-Allows you to move light sources, view objects from different perspectives,
and more.

-Size : 2.235 inches in diameter (regulation billiard ball)
-Weight : 5 ounces (142g)
-DOF : 6
-Accuracy : .03 position / .15 degree orientation
Interface
-3BALL transfers data to the host computer over an RS-232C serial link in
your 3SPACE system.
-3BALL is available as an option for the FASTRAK and ISOTRAK II systems.
Price : US $1,000 –
STYLUS
Features
-The STYLUS houses the electromagnetic receiver and permits easy and
accurate capture of (x,y,z) coordinates of the object being digitized.
-The STYLUS is a pencil-like device with an integral switch that permits
you to quickly and accurately capture x,y and z coordinates of real
objects.
-The STYLUS includes a contoured switch with tactile feedback so you
know when you’ve captured each and every point. Just hold the STYLUS
tip on the point to be digitized, press the switch, and the exact tip positi-on is captured.
Specs
-Standard 6.8 inch length or an optional 3 inch length for digitizing inside objects.
-Cable lengths are 10 or 20 foot.
-Two STYLUS tips are available and exchangeable. A sharp nib for high accuracy needs, and a round nib for applications involving digitizing of the human body.
Interface
-STYLUS is available as an option for the FASTRAK and ISOTRAK II systems.
-STYLUS is a standard component of 3DRAW.
3DRAW & 3DRAW PRO
Features
-3DRAW uses a patented electromagnetic technology that precisely measures
the position and orientation of the stylus tip in 2D and 3D space.
-There’s no need to maintain a clear line-of-sight.
-Both 3DRAW tablets may be used in a slanted configuration as a conventional 2D tablet for digitizing intricate drawings and artwork. A flip of the legs is all it takes to convert it to a level work surface for 3D items to be digitized. Simply place the tip of the stylus on any point on the object's surface and depress either the integral stylus switch or the foot switch to record and transmit the coordinates to the host computer.
-Both system have a working volume of 12" x 18" x 12" to obtain the specified
accuracy. Larger objects can extend beyond this volume or can be digitized in
sections since the system allows you to change the object's position if
necessary.
-3DRAW PRO and 3DRAW both measure the stylus' orientation as well as the
tip position, permitting you to use the stylus to rotate or manipulate your
image dynamically, or move the light source in real-time.
Components
-Tablet : The table provides the digitizing surface for both 2D and 3D
applications and houses the electromagnetic field transmitter. With the front
legs folded up, the tablet rests at a convenient seven degree tilt for 2D
operation. By folding the front legs down, the tablet becomes a level platform
for 3D applications.
-System Electronics Unit (SEU) : Contains the hardware and software
necessary to generate the electromagnetic fields, compute the position and
orientation data and interface with a host computer via the RS-232C serial
port.
-Stylus : The stylus is a pencil-like device that contains the electromagnetic
receiver and an integral data capture switch.
-Foot Switch : Used as an alternative to the integral stylus switch for capturing
data points. It permits faster and easier digitizing and promotes greater stab- ility of the stylus positioning.
