Southeastern Regional Conformation Show and Breed Survey

The South Metro Atlanta Schutzhund Club is proud to invite you to attend the Southeastern Regional Conformation Show and Breed Survey. We are pleased to have SV Judge and Körmeister Hans-Peter Schweimer judge this event for us. Enclosed is information regarding the event, logistics, and registration.

Directions:

From I-85 (Atlanta)

- Take I-85 South to exit 51 (SR-154)

- Turn left at top of exit ramp onto SR-154 headed south

- Go 7.3 miles from 1-85

- Turn left at stop light onto Willis Road

- Go .4 miles to four-way stop and turn right onto Bob Smith Road

- Property is less than .4 miles on left - gravel driveway with a black mailbox and pampas grass on each side. Signs will mark the entrance.

Entrants and spectators are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor or spectator whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior, may, at the discretion of South Metro Atlanta Schutzhund Club, be asked to leave the event site. In such cases no refunds will be made.
All entered dogs must be held on leash, except during relevant exhibiting. Handlers should bring water and provide shade for their dogs. Handlers are required to pick up after their dogs at the show grounds and at the host hotel. Trash receptacles and pooper scoopers will be provided at both locations.
Parking areas will be marked at the show grounds. Do not park in any other areas. Dog walk areas will also be marked at the show grounds. Competitors and their dogs are NOT allowed in the front yard area around the house.

Accomodations:

Please call the Hotel directly for room reservations. This hotel is one of the few hotels in the area that will allow dogs in the rooms.

Friday, May 22nd Club Trial & Protection Practice at Show Field:

▪ Registration Table open from 4:00 pm until 8:00pm

▪ Field available for ring and breed survey practice from 12:00 until 4:00pm


Saturday, May 23rd Regional Conformation Show:

▪ Registration table opens at 8:00a.m. Classes start at 9:00a.m.

▪ Judges Dinner after conclusion of conformation event – approx 7 pm (location to be announced)


Sunday, May 24th Breed Survey:

▪ Check in begins 8:00am

▪ Breed Surveys begin at 9:00 am

▪ Protection Phase

▪ Stand for Exam

* Lunch will be taken each day at the Judges discretion

* Dental Notations will be available for a $5 fee.

USA Breed Show Regulations

Canines aged 4 mos. to 12 mos. are considered puppies. And canines aged 12 mos. and older are

considered dogs. Please keep this in mind while reading the following. Puppies are allowed entry in the

Puppy Show.

“Only the following types of German Shepherd Dogs are allowed to enter the show.

► Dogs must be registered with a WUSV Registry.

► Dogs must be registered with USA when owned by a resident of the United States of America.

► Dogs who are free of all signs of illness.

► Dogs who are not barred from progeny registration.

► The owner must be a USA member when they are a resident of the United States of America.

► Dogs may not be owned by persons barred from exhibiting dogs.

General Rules for this Show

► The age requirement is effective as of the first day of the show.

► Proof of current rabies vaccination is requested of all canines entered.

► Only those canines entered in the show will be allowed on the show grounds.

► Proof of your dog's USA registration must be provided. If your dog's USA registration is pending then

you must provide a letter from USA stating such.

► A USA registration application may be completed on the day of the show. The current fee will be made

payable to USA. If proof of USA registration is not available or an application has not been completed,

an $80.00 deposit is required the day of the show. The deposit will be returned once proof of USA

registration is provided to South Metro Atlanta Schutzhund Club.

► Available proof of hip certification, breed survey report, USA/SV scorebook, and show cards must be

provided if applicable. Send in copies with the dog's entry. Bring the originals to the show.

► The Open (Adult) Class is designed to accommodate dogs over 24 mos. of age that do not yet have a working title.

► Working Dog Class applies to dogs over 2 years old and they must have at least at SchH1 or HGH title.

Photocopying facilities will not be available at this show.

► Show entry fees must be paid for a canine entered but not shown. There are no refunds.

► All entries received by May 8th will be considered on time. Any entries received after May 8th will be considered late and be charged a $15.00 late fee. Entries will be accepted until May 15th – no walk ups. A $5 per entry processing fee will be charged if copies are not submitted.

► Late entries may still be included in the catalog if received by May 15th.

Proof of at least a G show rating: at least one show card from a USA recognized conformation event. The minimum rating accepted is that of a G (Good) which the dog must have earned after turning 12 mos. old.
Proof of current membership in USA: copy of USA membership card. If you are a resident of the United States and own a dog (12 mos. or older) entered in the show.
