Call for Papers Pathways to Earthquake Resilience: The case study of Wellington, New Zealand
The city of Wellington, New Zealand, is exposed to a high degree of earthquake risk. Over the past few decades much effort has gone into understanding this risk and implementing a range of risk management policies and practice. The 2016 Kaikoura earthquake had a significant impact on the city and has highlighted the need to continue this work through a range research, policy and practice initiatives.
A special issue of the Australasian Journal of Disaster and Trauma Studieswill bring together accounts of the research, policy and practice initiatives from researchers, practitioners and the wider Wellington community. The resulting special issue will be published online, with open access at no cost to authors or readers.
The timetable for contributions is:
- 01/06/2018 Identification of interest deadline (using the form attached)
- 01/12/2018 Manuscript submission deadline
- 01/05/2019Initial advice to authors
- 01/08/2019 Revision deadline
- 01/03/2020- Publication of the special issue of the Australasian Journal of Disaster and Trauma Studies
