BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Tuesday, May 2, 2017
President, Rod Hawley called the Special Meeting of the Odin Public School District #722 Board of Education to order on May 2, 2017, in the Superintendent’s Office at 5:30PM.
The roll being called, the following answered present: Rod Hawley, Joe Laffoon, Michael Hoover, Troy Norman, Brian Martin, Teresa Spears, and Patrick Dagg. Administration present: Mr. Humes, Superintendent and Sam Alli, Principal.
Staff present: Brooke Welch, Lori Klostermann,Jennifer Rohrscheib, Jennifer Hunzicker, Cheryl Kell, and Tim Koch. Visitors present: Janet Tate and Michael Klostermann.
The prayer was waived.
1. Motion by Joe Laffoon, seconded by Teresa Spears, to approve the minutes of the April 6, 2017 Regular Meeting. Roll call, seven ayes.
2.Motion by Troy Norman, seconded by Patrick Dagg, to approve the Agenda. Roll call, seven ayes.

NEW BUSINESS
Motion by Michael Hoover, seconded by Troy Norman, to approve canvas of April 4th election. Roll call, seven ayes.
Note: Michael Hoover nominated Mr. Humes as President Pro-Tem and Mr. Alli as Secretary Pro-Tem for new member seating and officer election.
Note: Mr. Hawley elected as president, Mr. Laffoon elected as Vice-President, Mr. Hoover elected as Secretary and Mrs. Spears appointed as Treasurer.
Motion by Joe Laffoon, seconded by Troy Norman, to keep regular board meetings as the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:30 PM. Roll call, seven ayes.
Motion by Troy Norman, seconded by Teresa Spears, to accept the resignation of Mark Burton as HS Basketball Coach. Roll call, seven ayes.
Motion by Patrick Dagg, seconded by Teresa Spears, to approve Keith Cummins as JH Softball Coach. Roll call, seven ayes.
Motion by Patrick Dagg, seconded by Joe Laffoon, to accept with regrets Mr. Jeff Simpson’s retirement effective June 30, 2017. Roll call, seven ayes.
Motion by Michael Hoover, seconded by Rod Hawley, to accept the resignation of Josh Harp. Roll call, seven ayes.
Motion by Troy Norman, seconded by Joe Laffoon, to adjourn. Roll call, seven ayes. Time: 5:46 PM
