  5. Intermediate pony – fences max 2’9”

Subject to timing and entries a novelty class may be held between Pony and Horse Show Jumping. Everybody is eligible. The class will be one of the following options Accumulator, Chase me Charlie, Horse & Hound or Clear round.

THE RULES

  1. All persons attend at their own risk, the club and landowners do not hold themselves responsible for any loss, damage or injury. Sufficient 3rd party insurance is required by all competitors.
  2. Hard hats must be worn fastened at all times when mounted and comply with British Safety standards.
  3. Body protectors and Medical Armbands are compulsory for Hunter Trials/Team Chase/Clear Round Cross Country Day’s. They are advisable for open show days.
  4. Safety headwear/footwear advisable for grooms/handlers.
  5. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure correctly fitting tack is used, fit for purpose and safe.
  6. All competitors must ride IN WALK across the showground in all areas unless in a designated warm up area.
  7. Dogs must be kept on short leads at all times.
  8. THE DECISION OF THE JUDGE IS FINAL. Any complaint must be put in writing to the club secretary with a fee of £30.
  9. Entry to classes is subject to the secretary’s decision, the committee and judges reserve the right to disqualify, without refund any competitor who is late for their class.
  10. Abuse towards any committee member, judge, steward, other competitors or animals will result in disqualification and dismissal from the showground.
  11. The committee reserves the right to amalgamate, remove or cancel classes.
  12. The age of the rider is to be taken from the 1st of January 2017. Lead rein 10 years and under. All riders to be 3yrs and over.
  13. All ridden horses and ponies must be over 4 years of age as of the 1st of January 2017.
  14. Encouragement is expected but excessive assistance will result in disqualification.
  15. Competitors must display the correct ribbons in tails of horses and ponies that kick (red) is young or inexperienced (green) or a stallion (white). Any animal considered dangerous will be asked to leave the ring or showground.
  16. No Horse or Pony can compete in more than 4 jumping classes, maximum of 2 Show Jumping and 2 Working Hunter classes.
  17. It is the competitor’s responsibility to walk the jumping course.
  18. All jump heights are approximate.
  19. Entry to classes is subject to Secretary/Judges decision.
  20. Consent of photography by all is expected with photography taking place at the event.
  21. Additional rules may apply – HAVE FUN!!
