Multi-functional Labels for SHL Medical Auto Injectors: Maximum Demands on User Friendliness and Reliability
Oberschleissheim, October 11, 2016 – Schreiner MediPharm has developed specialty labels for demo devicesof various autoinjector models fromSHL Medicalin which safety and ease of use for the patientare of paramount importance. The innovative label solutions underscore the exacting demands made on the injection systems in terms of quality and patient orientation. As a novel feature to assist the user, an NFC chip has been integrated in the Amber®model.
SHL Medical develops innovative autoinjectors for leading companies in the biopharmaceutical industry. The design of the systems is focused on user friendliness and intuitive operation in order to make self-medication easier for the patient. In Schreiner MediPharm, SHL has found a partner who adapts the marking solutions for the devices exactly to these requirements.
The label performs important additional functions which are precisely tailored to meet the requirements of the manufacturer and the needs of the users. To improve grip, an anti-slip varnish was used to prevent slipping during the injection. An integrated hologram helps the user identify the product as an original. A printed QR code provides a link to a website when being read via a smartphone.
The Amber®model is additionally equipped with a special new feature. A label-integrated NFC (Near Field Communication) chipoffers users the opportunity to interactively access important information and services by smartphone. Furthermore, thelabel for the Molly®device includes a temperature indicator that produces a reversible color shift when a defined ambient temperature has been reached.
In addition to these helpful functions, the specialty labels allow forcustomized brandingand thus emphasize the manufacturer’s brand presentation.
