Many publishers provide an extensive bank of questions based on their textbooks. These test banks can be used to create quizzes and exams that can be used for both face-to-face and online courses
- Open Responduson your computer to reveal the Start tab
- Click theTest Bank Network button. A dialog box will open.
- Click on the appropriate radio button:
- Search for a publisher test bank – if you don’t already have a publisher code and password that gives you access to your textbook’s test bank.
- Register a test bank – if you already have a file code and password. (If you select this option, skip ahead to Step 8.)
- If you choose to Search for a publisher test bank, click Nexta search page will open in your browser that will allow you to search by title, author, keywords and/or publisher.
- You will then be walked step-by-step through:
- finding and choosing your textbook edition
- submitting a request for access to the test bank for your textbook
- You will receive the access information by email from the publisher (not from Respondus) in a few days.
- Open up Respondus and do steps 1-3 above, this time choosing 3b “Register a test bank using a file code and password.”
- Fill out the form which opensusing the file code and password provided by the publisher.
Note: Put SIAST(not Saskatchewan Polytechnic) in the Institution field. /
- Once the test bank has been registered in Respondus, the third option on the Test Bank Network wizard becomes available: “Select questions the following publisher test banks”.
- With the third option selected, click “next”. The next page will then allow for the selection of a registered test bank and then a specific chapter file from that test bank. Questions can be manually selected or automatically selected. With Manual selection, individual test bank questions can be previewed and copied to the current Respondus project. To do so, simply select the box to the left of the questions wanted and click the “Add to End of List” or “Insert into List” button.
