Self Build Interest

1. Introduction

Mid Devon District Council (MDDC) recognises the potential benefits of self build in meeting the housing needs of Mid Devon residents. Self build can represent a more affordable housing option for local people, support the construction industry and give people more choice in the housing market.

This form is designed to capture all the information the Council needs to understand the demand for custom build housing in Mid Devon, helping us devise policies that improve the supply of land for custom build housing and monitor how well the Council is meeting this demand over time. We may contact you when opportunities become available or pass your contact details to developers/builders who are providing custom housing, but only if you state on this form that you are happy for us to use your contact details in this way.

By submitting this form, you are applying to be entered onto the Self Build Register, which is held in confidence by the Council. The Council will publish aggregated data from the register as evidence of the demand for self build and custom housing, but your personal information will not be disclosed to any third party unless you give us express consent to do so.
