Agility made a profit for the 2015 Welsh Kennel Club Championship Summer Show.

In 2015 WKC offered a 2-day Agility show (22 & 23) although Kennel Club bureaucracy prevented WKC from spreading the Championship offering to both days. We secured 2 other Agility qualifiers, which attracted a good entry although actual attendance was depleted by the weather.

Once again Bonny Quick won the championship ticket at small size of Agility dog and we understand she is to return in 2016 to try for the hat trick as one of the very few UK Agility competitors to achieve the feat at the same venue with different dogs.

We are grateful for the continued support of Royal Canin in 2015, which continues for the 2016 event.

The Agility media took an interest in the 2015 WKC event and I have attached coverage achieved.

Day parking arrangements were excellent although the caravan pitches caused a few issues and your committee has had a radical layout rethink for the 2016 event which I expect to address the 2015 difficulties.

May I record my thanks to all the connections needed to run this growing event and once again the local guide community provided the stewards who were excellent with a good WKC donation helping the local youth of the area.

For 2016 WKC is again offering a 2-day Agility show (20 & 21) with the Championship offering on the first day. Again we have secured other Agility qualifiers, which have already attracted 800 entries, 70 at Agility Championship level and 30 caravan pitches. We’d expect to close out at 2200 + entries with100 pitches booked and we will add to the key Agility personnel needed to run this growing event. In 2017 championship classes will run on both days, which will allow a better balance in the schedule.

I attach an event schedule for the 2016 event for members to see which was published three weeks ago.

Finally may I take this opportunity to thank the Welsh Kennel Club for the invitation to continue to organise their Agility event again. Apologies I am unable to with you in person but I am competing elsewhere!
