Year 12 Conversation Sessions 2017

The Alliance Française de Geelong is offering a series of 45-minute conversation sessions for Year 12 students to help them prepare for the oral exam in October. The conversation groups will generally be held fortnightly. The sessions will develop oral skills through practice on the topics designated for the general conversation section of the exam: family and friends, school, leisure, future aspirations and work. In final sessions there will also be the opportunity to discuss the Detailed Study topic chosen for the second part of the exam. Students will also have the chance to take mock oral exams at the end of terms two and three.

There will be an option between two session times this year: 4.15-5pm or 5.15-6pm

There is a limit of 20 students per time period. All sessions are held on Thursdays. Once the limit of 20 places is reached, subsequent enrolment fees received will be returned to the sender.

Dates for Term 1: February 23rd, March 9th, March 23rd, March 30th

Dates for Term 2: April 20th, May 4th, May 18th, June 1st, June 15th, June 22nd

Dates for Term 3: July 20th, August 3rd, August 17th, August 31st, September 14th, September 21st

Place: The Geelong College (enter from Noble Street).

Costfor the year: $120 (includes membership to the Af de Geelong)

These sessions are designed for Year 12 students, although if places are available, consideration will be given to Year 11 students who have spent a significant amount of time in a French-speaking country.
