The School Holiday Program is a fun, inclusive and flexible program for children aged 5 to 12 years who are attending primary school. A range of activities and experiences are on offer everyday that build upon your child’s skills, knowledge and understanding, as well as their curiosity and imagination. Professional and qualified staff are on hand to help children build their cooperation skills, respect and independence, all the while ensuring they enjoy their holidays in a safe, fun and welcoming environment.

$55 per non-excursion/centre based day.

Excursion A is charged at $67

Excursion B is charged at $72

Excursion C at $77

Big Day Out is charged at $85and is an optional excursion for the first 30 Grade 4/5/6’s who book.

Some days require the children to bring money for a lunch, or an extra activity – see the program for when this is requested.

Once your enrolment form has been lodged you are obliged to pay for ALL DAYS ticked regardless of non-attendance or sickness, unless cancellation is received by our office in writingby 5pm Monday 20th June 2016.

REFUNDS

There will be NO REFUNDS or exchange of days.

WHATSHOULD MY CHILD BRING?

All children need to come to the program with healthy play lunch, lunch afternoon tea, fruit and a ‘named’ drink each day (no soft drinks). Please ensure that children bring food which doesn’trequire refrigerating or heating. Please let the supervisor know if your child has any allergies or reactions to certain foods. We recommend you do not pack any nuts or eggs in your child’s lunchbox.

Appropriate clothing should be worn (comfortable clothes) during program. A raincoat must be packed for unexpected wet weather. Please ensure children wear appropriate footwear at the holiday program. No thongs or singlets.

TRANSPORT

All excursion buses are booked through McHarrys Buslines. Where stated community buses or council cars may be used. Children may walk or ride for some excursions. This is stated at the program.

ADMINISTERING MEDICATION

Medical conditions must be outlined in the enrolment information for each child, where applicable. Current medical action plans must be updated & submitted each year together with a risk minimisation plan where necessary. All medication must be signed in and given tostaff each day. All medication must be in the originalpackage labelled with the Child’s name clearly identified. All medication must be within its use by date.

BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT

The holiday program staff will work with families to support positive behaviour of all the children.

CANCELLATIONS
I
If you wish to cancel any bookings it is required to be in writing to the centre. If a cancellation is received prior to 5pm Monday 20th June fees related to that booking will no longer be charged and this will be confirmed by the City of Greater Geelong.
If you do not have a response by the Wednesday 22nd June, please contact 5272 4999. Any cancellation received after Monday 20th June at 5pm will be charged at daily fee.
Fees will still apply even if care is not used.

HOW TO BOOK

1.Bookings received prior to Monday 20th June by 5pm will be processed in date order and in accordance with DEEWR’s “Priority Access Guidelines”.
2.Enrol onlineat or in person at the Boorai Child and Family Centre
3.A confirmation letter, a Centre handbook and invoice will be issued within 7 days of enrolling. Where possible we email and mail out this information.
HOW TO PAY
You will receive an estimated invoice which will contain payment information.
Payments are due within 7 days of receiving your invoice.
You can pay via credit card/Visa/MasterCard debit card over the phone by calling 5272 4999
You may also pay in person at any Customer Service Centre.
Final invoices are sent for any outstanding amounts at the conclusion of the program.

What goes up must come down. Today we will fly a variety of objects such as kites, rockets, parachutes and nerf target practice

Let’s get messy creating and playing with a variety of messy activities such as foam, paint, slime, tie dye or chalk. Make sure you don’t wear your best outfit. We will get dirty!

Wednesday 29th June / INTERNATIONAL MUD DAY
A little dirt never hurt anyone! To celebrate International Mud Day we will walk to the Ocean Grove Nature Reserve for shelter building, playing in the dirt and maybe even cook some damper. Be at the Centre by 9.30am!

Thursday 30th June / WILD WORLD OF SPORTS & SWIM
A unique opportunity to experience a variety of sports in one day. Football, basketball, gaga ball and of course swimming. The choice will be yours.

Explore the Geelong library and have a picnic lunch in the park, then just keep running along to the movies for Finding Dory

Monday 4th July / CRAFT OFF
Creativity is one thing you can never use up, the more you use it the more you have. Come along for some great craft activities inspired by you.

Tuesday 5th July / SKATEPARK!
Today we will catch the local bus to the Barwon Heads skate park, walk to the beach and river and burn off some energy!
Bring your scooter and helmets – no bikes today! Be at the Centre by 9:30am.

Wednesday 6th July / READ, EAT, PLAY
We are heading to the local library for some reading and relaxing, eat lunch out and then burn off some steam with a 5km return walk.
Bring along $10 for lunch, sturdy walking shoes, and a good backpack with 2 shoulder straps. Be at the Centre by 9:30am.

Thursday 7th July / ROLL WITH IT
Get up and go with our ever popular wheels day. We’ll visit the skate park, ride around the school and get thoroughly exhausted.
Bring your bikes or scooter and of course your helmets! Be at the centre by 10am unless you are going on the BDO!

BDO – GRADE 4/5/6 Optional excursion. We’re heading up to Galactic Circus so bring along money for lunch in the food court.
