Handicaps are calculated on general play with us only recognising a score of two over par on any particular hole. Therefore a 9 on a par 4 will only count as a 6 (2 over par) and your final score will be adjusted accordingly. If your final score is over your handicap you will receive 0.3 of a shot back. If you score is under your handicap then the sliding scale below is used to calculate your new handicap.

Golf Handicaps of 5 or less Adjustment factor = 0.1

Golf Handicaps of 6 to 12 Adjustment factor = 0.2

Golf Handicaps of 13 to 20 Adjustment factor = 0.3

Golf Handicaps of 21 to 28 Adjustment factor = 0.4

Golf Handicaps of 29 to 36 Adjustment factor = 0.5

Finally: Any winner of a competition is automatically deducted 2 shots should that be greater than the normal loss of handicap. The Runner- up will lose 1 shot or the normal loss of handicap whichever is the greater.
