COMMERCIAL SALT-WATER CHLORINATION SYSTEM

The SM250 is designed to cater to large commercial pool installations and is able to generate ~250 Grams/Hour of equivalent Chlorine. Designed to be modular, systems are put together incorporating 2,3 & 4 SM250 units to service pools between 300,000 & 3,000,000 Litres.

Many countries have different standards, but all are based on the concentration of Chlorine (or Chlorine Equivalent). Australian Standards require Chlorine concentrations of 1.5 to 3.0 ppm with an extra requirement for super chlorination to 10 ppm. This covers International requirements.

The Hourly Chlorine requirement for a pool is based on general conditions such as water temperature and number of people, while maintaining the upper limit of 3 ppm for Chlorine. So for a given pool size, we can easily determine how many SM250 units are needed.

Of course not all installations are the same. Water temperature effects how fast the Chlorine (or equivalent) dissipates and so, the higher the temperature, the higher the hourly requirement. Another factor is the number of people. A significant part of the Chlorine (or equivalent) is to account for the effect people have on the Chlorine (or equivalent) concentration. Final design for a particular installation involved ensuring that these factors are considered.

Enquiry Form

For further information on our system, or if you have a specific enquiry, please contact us either my email, fax or phone. If you are enquiring for an existing or proposed installation, please fill out the following information to assist us in determining the optimum system.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: The use of metals such as galvanized pipes or copper may be incompatible with saline water. Ensure that in either existing or proposed pipe work/installation(s) consist of non-corrosive materials.
