Power School is available at fcusd.org to view logged scores.
A+ = 98% - 100%
A = 93% - 97.9%
A- = 90% - 92.9% / B+ = 88% - 89.9%
B = 83% - 87.9%
B- = 80% - 82.9% / C+ = 78% - 79.9%
C = 73% - 77.9%
C- = 70% - 72.9% / D+ = 68% - 69.9%
D = 63% - 67.9%
D- = 60% - 62.9% F = <60%
Grading Codes: / ABS (absence) / EXD (extended time)= Exempt / RWR (re-write required) / INC (incomplete) = <60% / NTI (not turned in after several opportunities) = 0%
Make-up and Late Work—For every day a student is absent, he/she will have a reasonable period of time in which to make-up the missed work (District policy).This is usually about two days. Students are encouraged to rewrite assignments when appropriate for achievement improvement, and they will be given one week from the date the graded assignment is returned.
Achievement Improvement (re-writes)—This is what is offered as extra credit. The supporting philosophy is that students do the work that is assigned, not extra work to make-up for work not assigned. In addition to homework time, there will be scheduled class time for improving assignments. Students are encouraged to rewrite assignments until they get the grade they desire. Most written assignments may be rewritten, and all students can work to improveas long as the assignment was submitted initially on time.Late work does not have this option. If a student is requiredby the teacher to rewrite an assignment (for improvements needed), no grade higher than 60% will be given for that assignment until an acceptable rewrite is submitted.
