CJK Buddy List & Instructions
Goal of the Buddy System: To welcome our newest Managers from the CJK Associates market and make them feel part of the AAG team.
Buddy Responsibilities:
§ Check out the dates in this document and look over the entire list for your buddy assignment on page 3. Each NorCal/NNevada GM has 1-2 GM buddies to call and support. Each NorCal AD has 1-2 CJK AD buddy to contact. General Managers listed with an *asterisk have two buddies to support.
§ Week of Nov 9, 2009 – call your AD/GM buddy and introduce yourself.
o Tell them your history with Applebee’s and ask about theirs.
o Offer your support during their training and transition from a CJK employee to an AAG employee.
o Be available to answer their questions concerning AAG, our policies, procedures and benefits programs.
o Be a lifeline to them with back office systems questions.
o Let them know you and your management team will be there for them when they need help.
§ Inform your management team of your buddy status. Although the GM is listed as the buddy, more questions may arise in the first week of the restaurants transition to our systems while completing closing procedures. Therefore, all managers need to be available for the “I need help” call during the Go Live week of Dec 7, 2009.
Our transition timeline:
o Monday, Nov 16 - All CJK General Managers will travel to the NorCal/NNV restaurants and open with the AAG GM Buddy.
§ Save all closing procedures from Sunday, Nov 15 for Monday am to complete with the CJK GM.
§ Demonstrate the opening procedures
§ Discuss ROSnet and how to use this program
§ Use the Administrative Checklist throughout the day to stay on point.
o Saturday, Nov 21
§ CJK restaurants will hold an all-store meeting with all associates to complete their New Hire Booklets and explain the AAG benefits programs.
o Tuesday, Nov 24
§ All managers will attend a conference call for a brief introduction to ROSnet.
§ CJK Bar and Kitchen managers have until Dec 10 to sequence their inventory and correct pricing.
o Week of Nov 30
§ All CJK managers will attend one all day training session that will include hands on training in ROSnet, Accounting, and IT procedures.
§ Class for all ADs, GMs and 1 AM will be held Tuesday, Dec 1.
§ Class for all remaining AMs and ADs will be held Wednesday, Dec 2.
§ You may receive calls with questions following these training classes.
o Sunday, Dec 6
§ The restaurants will close at 9 pm and move from CJK to AAG overnight.
§ The AAG IT dept along with the help desk will make the transition to all restaurant systems from 9 pm – 7 am.
o Week of Dec 7
§ Monday, Dec 7 - Be on alert! The restaurants will open for business as AAG.
§ This will most likely be your highest call volume day – through closing. It will be the first time these managers have closed with our systems.
§ Expect calls throughout the week as new managers’ open/close for the first time.
o Monday, Dec 14
§ NorCal/NNV GMs will travel to their Buddies restaurant to assist in the first inventory and prepare for the first payroll transmission.
