Books read this week,

“The Gingerbread Baby,” and “The Gingerbread Baby and Friends,” “Santa and the Gingerbread Man.”

We have been comparing stories and listing the characters in the story, talking about the problem and the setting of the story.

In small groups, we laced stockings, sorted christmas ornament shapes into 4 groups, played number bingo and practiced writing our names and self portraits.

Coins for kindness – December 15th.

Christmas readers – December 13. We will have the girls and boys basketball teams here to read to us!

Christmas vacation begins December 21.

5 Essential survey –

If you go to QPS.org, then to quick links, then to the 5 essential survey site, please complete the parent survey from there. If you do this, please send in your name to me and I will turn it in to the office to be put in a drawing!

The discount fundraiser is coming to an end of Friday 12/9. Please return any money collected and all cards not sold. This will help us know how successful this fundraiser has been! We appreciate everyone’s help with this!

We are working on putting our coats on in the AM class and zipping up for AM and PM classes. This helps your child to become more independent and saves many minutes getting ready for buses. Thank you for helping at home also!

Our donuts/dining with Dads was extremely successful! We appreciated everyone who came that day!! I will be sending home the picture frames next week for you to give to the special person who attended with your child!

Coins for kindness – we are collecting coins to purchases 2x4’s for the veteran’s project to help build homes. Any amount of money is greatly appreciated. We will take the money to the lobby on the 15th and drop it into the large bucket. We appreciate your help!

The Marines with Toys for Tots will be hear that day along with a special visitor!!

Please remember to call school and the bus barn each if your child is not coming to school for any reason. This will give your child an excused absence for the day.
