Cosmetics ~ Any eye shadow, eye liner, blush, rouge, foot & face powder without grain ingredients.

Deodorant ~ Any powdered or stick. Arid, Secret, Sure.

Detergents ~ Any powder brand certified year round.

Dishwashing liquids ~ Ajax, Dawn, Joy, Ivory liquid, Palmolive, any Procter & Gamble product.

Dental floss ~ Any unflavored, including waxed

Dried fruit ~ American Raisin Packers raisins and currants, Del Monte raisins, Dole raisins and Zante currants, Pride raisins, all when bearing a plain OU.

Eggs ~ Preferably purchased before Passover.

Fish ~ Any raw with supervision.

Frozen fruit ~ All frozen unsweetened whole fruit without syrup or other additives.

Juices ~ 100% pure frozen orange or grapefruit with no sweeteners, additives or preservatives; Realemon lemon or lime juice.

Meats ~ All raw, except for deli, cooked products and turkey burgers

Milk ~ It is preferable to use Kosher for Passover (KFP) milk, but any milk may be used if purchased before Passover. Parmalot milk with an AKC symbol is KFP and may be purchased even on Chol HaMoed if expiration date is between April 1 and 20. Kroger plans to carry KFP milk; check with AKC office for details.

Mouthwash ~ Plax, Listerine, Scope, Signal

Nuts ~ Raw, whole, chopped or ground, e.g. almonds, or walnuts, without preservatives such as BHT or BHA. No peanuts. Midget pecans and pecan pieces need a KFP.

Olive oil ~ Any extra virgin.

Oven cleaner ~ Any with supervision.

Paper napkins ~ Any brand.

Paper towels ~ The first 3 sheets and last sheet attached to the cardboard should not come into direct contact with food since a corn starch-based glue may be used.

Passover products from previous years can be used for the current year’s Passover.

Plastic bags, wraps ~ Any brand.

Plates ~ Plastic, styrofoam, or Dixie paper plates.

Quinoa ~ It is not a grain, but an herb. Available in health food stores. (Flax and hemp are also acceptable). Check before Passover for extraneous matter.

Rice ~ For Sephardim who use rice on Passover, it is acceptable only without additives and vitamins. Rice should be checked before using.

Salt ~ Non-iodized, without dextrose or polysorbates

Scouring pad ~ Chore Boy, O-Cello, Scotch Brite, Scrunge

Seltzer ~ Any plain unflavored

Shampoo ~ Any

Soda ~ Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite with OU-P stamped on bottle top and different color cap; Dr. Brown with KFP (Rabbi Shapiro).

Silver polish ~ Any with supervision.

Spices ~ Any whole un-ground, except mustard. Ground spices need special KFP.

Sugar ~ Pure granulated white cane without dextrose

Tea (instant) ~ Nestea regular and decaf

Tea bags ~ Any caffeinated, unflavored; Lipton, including decaf

Toothpaste ~ Aim, Aquafresh, Close Up, Colgate, Dental Care, Gleem, Listerine, Oragel, Pepsodent, Sensodyne, Tom’s of Maine, Ultra Brite. Crest is not recommended.

Vegetables (fresh) ~ Alfalfa sprouts, asparagus, avocado, beets, bell peppers, broccoli, cabbage (red or green), carrots, cauliflower, celeriac (celery roots), celery, chicory, chives, collard, cucumber, dandelion greens, dill, eggplant, endive, escarole, garlic (depending on custom), green onions, horseradish (raw), kohlrabi, leek, lettuce (all types), mint leaves, mushrooms, okra, onions, potatoes, parsley, parsley root, pumpkin, radishes (all types), rutabaga, scallions, spinach, squash, tomatillos, tomatoes, turnips, watercress, whole pepper, yams, zucchini.

Water ~ Any unflavored spring or distilled even with electrolytes.

Canned fruit may contain corn syrup or may have been processed on equipment that uses corn syrup.

Frozen vegetables may be processed on equipment that also processes pasta.

Tuna may contain hydrolyzed protein.

Wine may contain kitniyos. (Some Manishewitz wines do not have the Kosher for Passover label; please check label.)
