Open to:Guides 13 and over, Senior Section, Rangers and Young Leaders
MUST be able to swim 50 metres in light clothing and can remain afloat for five minutes
Venue:Long Eaton Scout Activity Centre, Trent Lock, Long Eaton, NottinghamshireNG10 2FY

Times:Arrival from 18:00 to 21:00 hours on Friday 6thJuly.
Depart approx. 17:00 hours on Sunday 8th July.
Staff:Leaders, Activity Centre Staff and Qualified Instructors.
Activities:Rowing, Sailing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Rafting and general boat handling.
Equipment:1)Your own light weight tentage and cooking equipment (including washing-up bowl).
2)You will be getting wet, so PLEASE bring two or more sets of activity clothing and a complete change of clothing for evenings. REMEMBER Jeans are not suitable for water activities. Warm jumpers, waterproofs, cagoule and soft shoes. Soft-shoes must be worn for all boating activities, bare feet would be dangerous. An old cagoule is useful on the water if the weather is either cold or wet.
3)Food for self-catering (Please remember these activities are strenuous, a weekend on “Pot Noodles” is not enough). Our staff will provide hot drinks at mid-morning and mid-afternoon break intervals.
Cost:£30.00 Cheques need to be made payable to: - “Guide Association Derbyshire”.
General:Please return a completed application form, and includeyour chequeandstamped addressed A5 size envelope(addressed back to yourself)by11th June at the latest.
Confirmation of your booking will normally be sent within two weeks of receiving your payment, along with a Health Form, map and directions for the Scout Activity Centre.
