Grade 6 PowerPoint Slide Show Project 3rd quarter!
- You will work on 2 PowerPoint slide show projects this quarter and this will result in your overall total grade for the entire quarter.
- The first PowerPoint slide show project will consist of a topic that you will decide. This topic may be a favorite music artist, a favorite hobby of yours, or maybe a subject in school that you like.
- The second PowerPoint slide show project will consist of a subject and a topic that you have studied this school year. For example, the subject could be Social Studies and the topic could be the Pharaohs of Egypt.
- You will find your information using the Internet and possibly books that you have etc. I want you to find pictures or images using the Internet (we will not be scanning images out of books in this class). I strongly feel that the Internet will provide you with the best possible resources to help you out.
- You must use your time well in class to complete these projects. Failure to complete both of these projects will result in an F this quarter. If you decide to play, you will pay severely with your grade. This does not mean that if you complete both projects that you will get an A for the quarter. How well you design your slide show, well accuracy of your content, your overall presentation, and other factors will result in your final grade.
- Directions for each slide show………..
- You must have a total of 25 slides for each slide show.
- I would like a minimum of at least 5 images, but no more than 10. Do not slap one image and think you’re done with the slide show. You must have some text around the picture.
- Content should be accurate and I want your last slide as the reference slide for all the resources that you used.
- Make your slide show interesting, add sound, etc.
- I want both your slide shows complete by March 16 and you will present your slide show on either March 16 or March 23. You will present both of your slide shows to the class. I want to complete presentations on both of these days. Keep your presentation really short. The entire class must have their voices off during the presentations or your grade will be severely lowered, no matter how you performed on your slide show.
- Save your slide show to the folder on your desktop (6th grade). Your saved file will be saved as your last name, underscore, first name, underscore, and grade. For example, Shamblin_Mr._6
- Once you are satisfied with your slide show I will save the file on my jump drive and this will be transferred to this notebook so that you can present your slide show.
- Good luck, and you may begin!
