The proposed format for Ph.D Proposal and Thesis are given below:

Suggested format for Ph. D Proposal preparation

Entire synopsis should be summed up in 7 to 8 pages, with approximately 3000-4000 words. It is applicable to new students. Old students who have not yet submitted the synopsis are suggested to use the same format for their own benefits.

(II)EVALUATION METHODOLOGY FOR PH. D COURSES IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

Course Evaluation:

1)Assignment-30%

2) Term-end Examination -70%

During the course work students will have to undergo a minimum one week contact programme.

Minimum Passing Criteria:

50% in each component and overall 50%

(III)THE COMPULSORY COURSES IN PH.D COMPUTER SCIENCES

Category A students are required to do 18 credit courses compulsorily and category B candidates admitted/registered are required to undergo course works with 32 to 36 creditscompulsorily for Ph.D.

(IV) MINIMUM PUBLICATION REQUIREMENT

Students are required to publish at least one research paper in any Computer Science/IT from the list of SCI Journal and at least one paper in national specified conference. The recommendation is applicable to all existing Ph. D Students as well as future Ph. D students.

(V) PRESENTATIONS-CUM- SEMINAR

Every student should submit Progress Report every six months in a prescribed format through his/her supervisor to the Director, SOCIS. However every student needs to make a presentation before Doctoral Committee at least once in an every year.

(VI) PLAGIARISM POLICY

If any submission of the student is found to be plagiarized and copyright violation then the student will be expelled from the Ph.D. Programme.
