California Scholarship Federation (CSF) / Mr. Towar / First Wednesday of each month at Lunch / Spartan Theatre / This is a statewide organization, and its purpose is to promote and honor academic achievement and community service among high school students. Members must take challenging courses, maintain high grades, and perform community service each semester.
College Summit / Ms. Kornblau / Mondays at Lunch / Room 33 / This is an educational group that offers help and support for students in planning their post-secondary pathways.
Drama Club / Mr. Hoye / Tuesdays at Lunch / Room 11 / This club offers students a place and a time to plan upcoming performances, to strategize ways to promote current productions, and to simply socialize. All students are welcome!
FASTASH / Mr. Valentino / Wednesdays at Lunch and after school / Room 82 / This Automotive Academy prepares students for the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and SkillsUSA competitions. NHRA is second to only NASCAR in terms of attendance, fan appeal, and sponsorship commitment. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
(FCA) / Ms. Dunbar / Every other Thursday at Lunch / Room 25 / This campus ministry is sponsored by the NFL, and it is initiated and led by student athletes. The goal is to reach all students on the Sylmar High School campus for Christ. Our Thursday meetings, which are called Huddles, consist of prayer, Bible lessons, games, and free pizza! All are welcome to attend!

Gay-Straight Alliance
(GSA) / Mr. Hitchcock / Wednesdays at Lunch / Room 71 / This club provides a fun, safe, supportive environment for gay students and their straight allies. We listen to music, watch videos, organize events, and talk about issues facing the LGBTQA community.All students are encouraged to join us!
Interact Club / Ms. Gonzales / Mondays at Lunch / Room 37 / This club is for students who want to join together to tackle and resolve the issues that are facing their community.
Kiwanis Key Club / Ms. Orduno / Thursdays at Lunch / Room 10 / Students organize and conduct events and activities designed to improve the Sylmar community. Operating under the guidelines of Kiwanis International, Key Club students work with and through this organization to exercise civic engagement and leadership.
Magnet Committee / Mr. Richmond / Tuesdays at Lunch / Room 44 / This committee plans activities and fundraisers for the Math-Science-Technology Magnet School.

PPAL Club
(PASSION Project Action with Literacy) / Mr. Adams / Tuesdays at Lunch / Room 10 / Students celebrate literacy by reading, writing, performing, and experiencing poetry, and by reading books together in special groups called literature circles. They then take their literacy out into the community, reading and performing at the Sylmar Public Library, at school and community events, at Tia Chucha’s Community Cultural Center, and at the annual Get Lit Classic Slam.

Dr. Lindsay / Wednesdays at Lunch / Room 67 / The goal is to explore careers and opportunities in the fields of science, math and engineering. Past activities have included field trips and tours of local universities. This club is open to all interested students!
Spanish National Honor Society / Ms. Peraza / Wednesdays at Lunch / Room 36 / We are a group of dedicated students interested in the Spanish language, Spanish culture, and community service. We go to cultural activities, language competitions, and community events. We also gather at social club get-togethers, where we sample Hispanic cuisine and enjoy each other’s company.

Tech Crew / Mr. Pine / Wednesdays
3:15 – 5:00 / Room 87 / In this club, students learn technical theatre/film skills, work backstage on plays, make posters, focus on marketing, and gain skills that are helpful in the professional world.
