ª “Gator” requested a motion to accept last month’s minutes as they were posted on members only site. Motion “Wow” by 2nd by “Nivek”, no discussion, 1 x abstain, motion passed.
ª Treasurers Report read by “Kato”. Discussed Chapter accounts balance; Chapter funds, poker run fund and charitable fund. Motion by “Kato” to transfer funds in the amount of $312.71, from chapter fund to charitable funds to make the donation to VTEAP an even $5,000. 2nd by “Big T”, no discussion, motion passed.
ª Quartermaster Report read by “Hog Rider” ;
o Discussed sales for the last month and the QM account balance.
o Amount to be transferred from QM account to Chapter account.
ª Old Business:
o “Smoke” discussed that the 501(c)19 has been approved by the IRS.
o “Smoke” talked about the success of this year’s “Gone but not Forgotten” ride.
o “Smoke” asked the chapter when we want to hold the donation to VTEAP for the funds raised at this year’s Poker Run and the charitable donation from Nationals totaling $10,000. Chapter voted for a tentative date of the 18th of October. “Smoke” will coordinate and send an email when finalized.
o “Red Ryder” talked about the last nursing home visit and the plans for the next one.
o “Gator” discussed the bylaws that were revised after the chapter BLCP that were passed and the recommendations from the State Rep, no discussion, bylaws will be sent this coming week to the State Rep.
o “Hog Rider” handed out ballots for Region Rep elections (recess)
o Reconvened after ballots were collected and will be counted after meeting by the CEB and sent to State Rep this coming week.
o Motion to accept Old Business made by “Big T”, 2nd by “Shadow”, no discussion, motion passed.
ª New Business:
o “Smoke” discussed this year’s upcoming Christmas party and we have acquired the Bud Barn for the venue. The date for annual Christmas party will be Saturday, 12 December versus the second Sunday.
o Also discussed was the sequence of events for the party for the new members and the food for the event to include needing a Santa suit.
o “Smoke” discussed talking with a member of Parks and recreation about another non-profit organization that wants to assist the chapter with maintaining Patriot Park; membership is all in favor of sharing the park.
o “Red Ryder” presented the initial Distinguished Riders Program patches to “CE4”, “Gator”, and “ToyBox”.
o “Hog Rider” informed the membership of the Rebel’s MC opening their club house in Clarksville and reminded the membership of protocol when out and about.
o “Hog Rider” discussed that as quartermaster, the chapter only has two (2) chapter t-shirts remaining. Asked the chapter of the interest in coming up with a new design for sweatshirts with the cold weather coming up or keeping the same design. Majority wants a new design, “Hog Rider” asked for ideas are sent to him and more to follow on timelines etc.
o “Shadow” discussed the ticket sales for the M1 carbine raffle being held at the Christmas Party, he is the POC and has all the tickets for those interested in purchasing or selling them. See “Shadow” after the meeting.
ª Good of the Order:
o “Smoke” discussed the Public Relations position is currently open and anyone interested in being appointed contact any of the CEB.
o “Hog Rider” discussed and clarified the Facebook event from this past week, additionally held a quick AAR for the pre-meeting ride on what was good and what we need to improve on especially for the newer members.
o “Red Ryder” discussed the next nursing home visit to Dogwood Bend on the 26th of September at 1200.
o “Gator” asked the membership for donations of specific items for the veterans in local nursing homes for this Christmas.
