Week of November 6

We have been working on learning letter T and the TH sound these past few weeks!! We just started our new learning unit called “Shapes” this week!! Here are a few reminders and dates to remember:

  • Scholastic Book Orders: There is still time for November book orders!! These book orders help us to earn free books for our classroom! You may order online or with the paper order forms. When ordering online please include our classroom code: MH7PZ. November book orders are due by November17.
  • Thank you: We would like to send out a huge THANK YOU to anyone who donated supplies or helped out with the Halloween parties in any way!! We appreciate your help in making it a special, fun day for the students!!
  • Pajama Day: Some of you may have heard your child talking about a pajama day! We have a “warm fuzzy” jar in the classroom and students get a “fuzzy” each time they help with clean up time in the classroom. Once our jar is full, we have a special prize or theme day in Preschool. Our class has already earned classroom fish and our next special day will be the pajama day once our jar is full! We will have more details to come on this soon!!
  • Building Security: This year we are asking that anyone coming into the building please stop in the office and sign in and get a visitor badge. This would include classroom parties or anytime that you would be spending time in the classroom. Thank you for your cooperation and help in keeping our building safe!!
  • Volunteers: Thank you to all who volunteered to help us in our classroom and for parties this year! All volunteers are required to have a volunteer form on file. This year these will be available online on the school website. If you plan to volunteer this year and have not filled one out yet, please go online and fill that out.
  • Thanksgiving Break: There will be no school November 22 through November 24. School will resume on Monday, November 27.
  • Half Day: There will be a half day of school on Friday, December 8. AM group will attend during their normal class time. PM group will not meet on that day.
  • Popcorn Day: Our next popcorn day will be Friday, December 8. Popcorn is 25 cents per bag.
  • Tuition: Just a friendly reminder, the next tuition payment is due December 4th to the office.
  • Letter Work: We will be learning letter D (Deedee Dear) during the week of November13 and we will be reviewing the letters we already knowduring the week of November 20.
