Induction Check List
Your Name: ....………………………………………………………
Faculty/Service: …………………………………………………………
University Start Date: …………………………………………………………
Your Line Manager: …………………………………………………………
This checklist is provided for your local induction to help you establish yourself in your new role as quickly and effectively as possible. You and your manager will need to plan how best to structure your induction.
It is recommended that your manager, mentor or other nominated colleague works through the list with you and both sign off the checklist on completion. This can then be kept as a record that effective induction has taken place.
It is the responsibility of new staff and their manager to ensure that all relevant elements are fully covered during the induction period.
Depending on the nature of your post, the items listed may be of higher or lower priority – the list is not exhaustive nor will every item apply to every individual. The items listed are in no particular order of priority.
If you have any queries or problems using this list, or any suggestions for its improvement please contact the HR Manager for your Faculty/Service.
