SUPPORTING THE PROMISE OF SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE

PRESENTED by the HAMMOND SCHOOL BOYS’ & GIRLS’ TENNIS TEAMS

Rally for the Cure is a grass roots program designed to generate awareness of breast health and breast cancer through volunteer organized tennis activities. Susan G. Komen for the Cure Rally provides a unique platform to generate support for the cause and benefit women and their families in our community.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:Adults and Juniors are encouraged to play. Two separate round robins will be divided by ability level: Red Group-Advanced Level (NTRP 4.0 & above & varsity level) Blue Group-Intermediate Level (NTRP 3.5 & below & junior varsity level).

FORMAT of the ROUND ROBIN: You don’t need a partner to enter---Mix & Match all players within their round robin---Prizes awarded.

DATE: Saturday December 4, 2010

TIME TABLE: Round Robin-10:00-12:00Report to tennis courts 9:30AM; Contests & Lunch 12:30-1:30PM; Silent Auction closes @ 1:30PM.

SIGN UP: Please use the entry blank at the bottom of this sheet; Juniors & Adults can play in the Round Robin-Sign up Deadline to Receive Goodie Bags is November 28 —we will continue to take signups for the round robin until December 2-late signups may not get a goodie bag due to shipping. Adults please include your NTRP level. A signup sheet will also be available at the Hammond School athletic office.

DONATIONS APPRECIATED: 100% of the funds raised above the $20 entry fees go directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

PLAYERS RECEIVE: Entry into the Round Robin; complimentary tickets for tennis contests; a goodie bag containing awareness literature, a Rally visor, a Rally pin, a subscription to one of four magazines: Golf Digest, Self, Bon Appetit or Architectural Digest, a Hallmark Card. Lunch at the courts.

NONPLAYERS: Free (donations accepted)--Come on out and have some fun--Non Players may participate in the Fun Activities.

FUN ACTIVITIES: “One Point Tournaments”; Contests such as: Service Targets, Fast Serve, Beat the Pros, Beat the Ball Machine, etc---all for prizes; Free Lessons (donations accepted); Cook Out; Silent Auction; Raffle.
