Summary

Elektrim Motors, a subsidiary of Toolmex Industrial Solutions, has a career opportunity for an assertive, results-driven individual with a strong background in outside sales. The Regional Sales/Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing major accounts with an even stronger focus on growing the region for our products and services, specifically with original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s). The ideal candidate will be an experienced consultative seller that strives to understand the customer’s business, industry, and needs, and crafts Elektrim Motors solutions to help the customer achieve their objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drives sales growth and implements initiatives for region as directed by senior management, including executing price strategy in accordance with group goals andprograms.
  • Developsand maintains working knowledge of each service, product and application.
  • Successfully interprets specifications and coordinates technical assistance as needed.
  • Analyzes needs and provides customer with appropriate product and substantiated information to assure customer is equipped with the knowledge needed to make an informed purchasing decision.
  • Actively grows the pipeline and industry footprint through coordinated activities with support staff to target leads, identify potential, and develop/execute a penetration strategy.
  • Prospects OEMs and maintains distribution base for all relevant markets and accurately documents process.
  • Provides timely feedback to management regarding performance, customer, competitor and market trends.
  • Participates in trade shows, regional and local events as required.
  • Travels within the territory more than 50% of the time.
  • Maintains sales automation tool (CRM) with updates to contacts, pipeline, opportunities, quotes and forecast.
  • Develops strong business relationships with customers.

Experience & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Minimum 10 years of industrial sales experience, electric motors and other mechanical products preferred
  • Minimum 5 years successful management experience, including P&L management
  • Moderate proficiency of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Well versed in consultative and transactional selling techniques
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, planning and execution skills required
  • Project management, negotiating and strategic development skills required
