Camp Orkila Fundraiser Tonight at Chipotle! November 7 from 3-7pm

Not sure what to do for dinner tonight? Don’t want to cook? Our 5th grade students are continuing to raise money for their trip to Camp Orkila! Please come to Chipotle next week on Monday, Nov 7th from 3pm-7pm! The restaurant is located at 775 NW Gilman Blvd, Issaquah, WA 98027. Chipotle will donate 50% of the proceeds to our Camp Orkila Scholarship Fund.

Just mention this IVE fundraiser at the cash register so that our 5th graders receive this donation. Feed your family and support our IVE families!

Hands-On Art Night & Reflections Reception

This Wednesday!November 9, 6:00 - 8:00pm

Bring the whole family andenjoy creating hands-on art projects andlearning about the PTA sponsored Art Docent Program.

We will also be recognizing student artists who haveparticipated in the National PTAReflections cultural arts competition.

Please show your support for the visual arts and join us. Everyone is Welcome!

Show our IVE Staff how much we appreciate them. The PTA hosts four staff appreciation lunches throughout the year. Thisis anopportunity to appreciate ourteachers and staff with a little extra love through dishes prepared by our school family.

The teachers and staff appreciation luncheon will be held on November 10. This is an opportunity to show off your culinary skills by signing up to bring a dish for this great event.

Do youenjoy the wonder of the holidays?Would you like to meet some new friends while singing and having fun?

If you are a Kindergarten – 2ndgrade student who enjoys singing, please join us this seasonto spread some holiday cheer. TheChoirtheme this year will be “Holidays around the World” and the set listwill includenewsongs such asFelizNavidadas well as old favorites likeJingle BellsandSanta Claus is Coming to Town.We sing both secular and religious songs and encourage all students to participate regardless of their personal or religious beliefs.Our goal is to have funsharing thistimeof yearwithold and newfriends and fill hearts with happiness and joy.

Yearbook Pictures and Cover Contest…

Good News! The Yearbook Cover Contesthas been extended for the5th Graders. Entries are due byDecember15th.

We need your Pictures!! Start taking them now! The upcoming Fall Festival / Halloween Parties are the perfect opportunity. We can't wait to see all those costume pictures.

The majority of the yearbook pictures are taken by you...our wonderful parents and volunteers of IVE. Throughout the year, we want youto submit pictures from school events and community activities. We strive to have every child in the yearbook a couple times.

  • Room Parents– We need each room parent to send us 10-15 photographs of their class, with each student in at least one photograph. It’s best if you can get small groups of 3-5 students in each photograph. They can be taken while you volunteer, at a holiday party, or whenever you visit the classroom.
  • School Events– If you are there and take pictures, please uploadyour pictures to our online site. Directions to create an account and upload are on the Yearbook Page!
  • Go to the Yearbook Page for directions how to upload photos to the Lifetouch Community Site.

There is a wide selection of books that every child will LOVE! Not only does this put books in the hands of our students, it also puts books in the hands of your teachers and librarian!

Camp Orkila for 5th Graders!

IVE 5th Graders have the opportunity to go to Camp Orkila in June. Camp Orkila is a YMCA camp located on the northwest tip of Orcas Island.Camp Orkila has been connecting youth and families to the outdoors since 1906. With more than 280 acres of private beach, preserved forest and open fields, kids thrive in this caring and supportive community.Explore nature, learn new skills, make new friends and gain respect for the environment. Let your child explore their strengths, expand their independence and build confidence with Camp Orkila.

A $25 deposit is due. Clickhereto make your deposit or make a donation to help another 5th grader go to camp.

Holiday Bazaar @ Skyline High School–Sammamish, WA

The Skyline Holiday Bazaar is afestive holiday shopping visit with local artisans and crafters.

In addition tolocal artisans and crafters, therewill also be a bake sale sponsored by the senior class, musical performances by middle and high schoolers,
