ST JOSEPH’S DAY: Saturday 19 March. We will celebrate Mass at 8.30am at St Joseph’s church. This will be followed by breakfast in the church foyer. If you can please bring a plate of finger food to share

COMMUNION TO THE REST HOMES:ENTRY TO THE REST HOMES/CHANGE OF REST HOMES:The Eucharistic Ministers to the Rest Homes would greatly appreciate spouses, families, carers, friends, fellow parishioners advising the Parish Office (757 3682) when a parishioner enters one of the rest homes or changes rest homes. Sometimes a parishioner is in a Rest Home for weeks/months before she/he is added to the Communion list. Thank you for your help.

ST JOSEPH’S SCHOOL FEAST DAY and 90th JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS:Parishioners and ex students and families connected to St Joseph's School are warmly invited to join us at our St Joseph's Day on Friday 18th March. The morning will begin with a liturgy at 9.00am with the students. Our visitors will then be taken on a school tour and to see the children involved in St Joseph's Day activities. Following the tour we would like our guests to join us for morning tea at 10.30am. If you would like to attend our celebration of St Joseph and to celebrate the schools 90th jubilee, please RSVP to the office, 7580364

CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE: General meeting Thursday 17th March will be an Ecumenical Service with members of our sister churches joining us. This will commence at 11.00am in St Joseph's Hall followed by a shared lunch, a speaker and entertainment. Members are asked to bring a plate of finger food for lunch. Wear something green!

SETFREE YOUTH FESTIVAL 2016 18-20 March.

The Diocesan Youth Team is taking a group to this full-on weekend, run by the Hamilton Catholic Youth Team.

Theme - Merciful Like the Father.

Venue : Papa O Te Aroha Marae, Tokoroa.

CHRISM MASS: The Chrism Mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit Palmerston North Tuesday 22 March at 7.00pm.All parishioners are invited to this Mass. A light meal is served for out of towners from 5.30pm and supper afterwards. Year of Mercy meditations, 2.00 3.00 4.00pm.This is a most wonderful celebration. CATHOLIC CHARITIES FOUNDATION:The Diocese of Palmerston North, in conjunction with the Catholic Charities Foundation of Palmerston North, the Tindall Foundation and Catholic Social Services, is seeking applications from parish groups, agencies and church organisations. YEAR OF MERCY:24 HOURS WITH THE LORD:Thank you for your attendance on the occasion of our recent Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. It was a wonderful gathering of our local Catholic Community.It was particularly inspiring to see the reverent, prayerful input by our schools and the obvious preparation given by the teachers on the Blessed Sacrament.God bless all and may we all be renewed in our faith and love of the Lord.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL FOOD COLLECTION AT OLHC: Green plastic bags will be handed out by the St Vincent de Paul Society at both Masses at Our Lady Help of Christians Church this weekend. Parishioners are asked to return them with their donations to help boost the food collection being taken upin association with next weekend's Parish/St John Bosco School Mass.

PAINTING OF THE STOS Building next to St Joseph’s Church. Scaffolding is being erected. Painting of the building will take place over the next few weeks, so please take note of signage or barriers in the parking area to the left of the church. Once the scaffolding is up, we will still be able to use these car parks. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

WORLD YOUTH DAYPOLAND JULY 2016: Any Catholic youth interested in finding out more about WYD or attending are urged to register their interest now. We can still take pilgrims but they will have to send their applications through to us ASAP.
