REgistration Guide

The Advising/Permission to Register Form:

List all the courses you intend to register for on the Advising/Permission to Register Form. Make your selections from the STH Course Schedule, the Boston University Course Schedule, or the Boston Theological Institute Schedule. Note that Registration in a BTI course will not be allowed until the BTI Cross-Registration Online Form is submitted to the Office of Registration and Financial Aid. All requests for a directed study must be pre-approved by the faculty and your academic advisor. Please review the Directed Study Criteria Information Sheet and complete a petition.

Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to review your course selections. If he/she approves of your selections, request his/her signature and submit the Advising/Permission to Register Form to the Office of Registration and Financial Aid in Room 108. The Registrar will review your course selections to determine that all advising and pre-registration criteria have been met. The Registrar will sign the form when it is approved, and will affix a six digit “Advising Access Code” (AAC) in the space to the right of the signature section. You will then be able to process your registration through the Student Link (see Web Registration below).

Web Registration (WebReg):

The WebReg system allows you to register, add and drop classes, list or print your course schedule, and review your academic status.

You can access WebReg thru the Student Link at www.bu.edu/studentlink. You will need your BU login name, a Kerberos password and your current Advising Access Code (AAC).
